City of Logan Libraries and Logan City Council’s Disaster Management Program
have joined forces to help local businesses better prepare for disasters.
Top tips for disaster preparation will be available through two online sessions in
March and May.
Participants will learn how they can keep their businesses operating during times of

had highlighted the need for businesses to have plans in place to deal with different
“It is important that the whole community, not just Council, learns how to prevent,
prepare for, respond to and recover from a disaster or emergency,” Cr Koranski said.
“Council has in place a Local Disaster Management Plan for the City of Logan and
this provides a solid foundation for our response to reduce the impact of disasters.
“This sort of planning can also be beneficial for local businesses.”
The first session is from 5.30pm to 6.30pm on Tuesday, March 9 via MS Teams.
Once participants register they will be contacted with more details by library staff.
