Walk About With Rob

Beenleigh resident and internationally award winning filmmaker Robert Braiden is making use of his time while our borders remain closed by getting out and exploring south-east Queensland, and he’s taking us all along on his journey’s.

Robert maintains an ever growing YouTube channel called WalkaboutWithRob where he shares his adventures which include walking the length of the Gold Coast, exploring North Stradbroke Island and venturing into a Brisbane ghost town.

“One of the great things about long distance walking is the amount of detail you see along the way, the kind of things you miss when racing past in a car,” Robert says.

Travel vlogging is becoming an increasingly popular genre on YouTube and with current travel restrictions, are often our ticket to seeing parts of the world we might not ordinarily be able to visit.

Once our borders reopen Robert has some big travel plans, “I was actually supposed to be in Europe a year ago, so when we are finally able to travel overseas again, I’ll be off with the intention of being a full time traveller. Exploring the world and filming my adventures and sharing them with others is hugely exciting!”

In the meantime Robert is planning new trips, this time to the Outback, far north Queensland and New Zealand. If like him you have the travel-bug, head on over to WalkaboutWithRob and join the adventure!
