The search is on for the most outstanding volunteers in the City of Logan.

Logan Loves Volunteers is held annually to thank local volunteers and volunteer
organisations for the time, care and passion they provide to our community.

The event was scaled back last year in line with COVID-19 restrictions, with about
300 regular attendees participating online.

An invitation-only Logan Loves Volunteers breakfast will be at the Logan Metro
Sports & Events Centre on Saturday, May 15.

City of Logan Mayor Darren Power said there was a good reason this event is called
Logan Loves Volunteers.

“It is a meaningful way to honour, and thank, those who continue to put our
community’s needs before their own,” Councillor Power said.

“It has been a challenging but rewarding 12 months and our volunteers have been
standing by those in the community who have most needed it.

“The awards give us a chance to recognise their selfless acts and the dedication our
volunteers show to others.”

Perpetual awards will be presented to the City of Logan’s most outstanding volunteer
and volunteer organisation.

Nominations for the awards are now open, and can be made at

Nominations close on April 12.
