Discover Tasmania with Tina!

Tasmania. An Australian state that anyone you speak to has either visited or has it on their ‘bucket list’.

From UNESCO Heritage listed site Port Arthur to the naturally stunning beauty of Cradle Mountain you can fill your days exploring this amazing destination and still not have seen it all by the time you have to leave.

A personal favourite (you will soon learn there’s a theme with me!) is the Cradle to Coast Tasting Trail.  This region, stretching from Launceston to Devonport and then on to Stanley, comprises of more than 20 artisanal producers, road side stalls, farmhouse shops, cellar doors, boutique wineries and distilleries.

Another ‘interesting’ visit is to MONA (The Museum of Old and New Art).  Located in Hobart this controversial museum hosts Australia’s largest private art collection.  It’s a very enjoyable 25-minute ferry ride from Hobart and whilst you are there, be sure to take in a glass of wine or beer to ponder just exactly what you have just experienced – this museum is definitely not you run of the mill and is definitely not for the faint hearted!

These are just two of so many highlights of this incredible island state.  To really see and immerse yourself, you need to allow a minimum of 10 days.  The longer you have the better you can truly explore and enjoy the perfection that is Tasmania.
