Local Rising Star, Abbey Endres
Redeemer Lutheran College Year 11 student and rising star, Abbey Endres, has been kicking goals in many aspects of her life. So far this year, Abbey has played the leading role in the College’s musical production of Little Women, written a heartfelt song for her grandfather, which was featured on radio station 97.3FM, and has been selected to represent Australia in the Youth Women’s Futsal team.
Abbey first started playing football (soccer) when she was in Year 4 through Redeemer Lutheran College’s participation in the JTAS (Junior – The Associated Schools) competition, and has been involved in the College’s sports program ever since. She has grown into an avid sportsperson who puts her full effort into all that she does. Abbey is a natural leader on the sporting field and around her school, being a positive role model and setting a wonderful example for her peers to follow.
Abbey’s passion for sport is evident through her involvement in Redeemer’s Football Select, Greater Brisbane Conference (GBC) Football, Futsal, All Schools Touch Football, and GBC Touch Football programs. She relishes opportunities to be involved in many co-curricular sporting programs, without hesitation, and is currently also an Assistant Coach for Redeemer’s Junior Football Select team, and assists with the Primary School Football Program.
As a Year 9 student (2019), Abbey was selected to play in the College’s Open Girls Futsal team at the Australian Futsal Association South East Queensland (SEQ) State Futsal competition.
