Award-winning author, musician and storyteller Gregg Dreise will deliver sessions at Logan Libraries to celebrate NAIDOC Week during the coming school holidays.

The My Culture and Me sessions for three to 10-year-olds will feature a musical and
storytelling session.

The following sessions will be held on Thursday, July 8:

10am-11am: Logan Central Library (3412 4100)12.30pm-1.30pm: Marsden Library (3827 8400)3pm-4pm: Beenleigh Library (2899 7300).

Families can also create their own NAIDOC-inspired crafts through activity packs
which will be available, while stocks last, at local libraries during NAIDOC Week (July
4 to 11).

The packs will include Australian animal stick puppets, cardboard hand decorations,
colouring sheets, bookmarks and cardboard spiral snakes.

The writing and performance aspects of rapping will also be covered in a special
More than Beats hip hop workshop at Logan Central Library on Monday, July 5.

City of Logan performer Ethan Enoch-Barlow will host the workshop from 2pm to
3.30pm teaching participants how to apply different rhymes, schemes and poetic
devices.
