Do you love to sing?

Founded in 2007, the A-Chord Choir prides itself on being open to everyone, 18 years or over, with a passion for singing. As a fully inclusive choir, all members are welcome, no matter their singing ability.

As the choir is apart of the Beenleigh Theatre Group (BTG), there is a prerequisite that participants become financial members of BTG, with an annual $25 fee.

With regular opportunities to perform, both at the theatre and out in the community; members are given the chance to showcase their wide repertoire; including traditional pieces, Jazz, Pop and Broadway.

Recently, the choir performed at Beenleigh Theatre Group’s Community Open Day and at the Regal Waters Retirement Village at Bethania for an ANZAC Concert, featuring songs by Ted Egan.

As a proud member of the ANCA, the National Choral Association, A-Chord Choir is managed by Nicolette McMahon. Nicolette has been with A-Chord since 2008 and has been an active member of the theatre for over 33 years.

Together with Conductor, Travis Holmes and Accompanist, Gordon Beitz, who assist with music direction and singing techniques; they ensure A-Chord choir is run in complete harmony.

Choir rehearsals are held every Tuesday evening, between 7pm – 9pm in the Green Room at Crete Street Theatre.

If you would like to get involved with this amazing, inclusive choir, contact Nicolette at info@beenleightheatregroup.com.
