The City of Logan is making sandbags available to residents ahead of forecast heavy rain.

Low-lying parts of the city have experienced flash flooding as a result of weekend
rainfall and more inundations are expected today and tomorrow.

Residents are urged to get prepared and remember If It’s Flooded, Forget It!”
For the latest information visit the Disaster Dashboard at disaster.logan.qld.gov.au.

Sandbags will be available to collect from 10am this morning from the Logan East SES Depot, 26-36 Winnetts Road, Daisy Hill.

Collection of sandbags from other Logan City Council depots is not available.

Residents will need to collect their own sandbags, if this is not possible, please
contact the SES on 132 500 to make alternative arrangements.

Council is currently assessing damage to the city’s road network and has closed a
number of roads.

Logan SES received 26 requests for assistance over the weekend, mostly for leaky
rooves.

No flood warning is current for the Albert and Logan Rivers.
