Logan Basketball will host the 2021 U12 State Championships

Basketball Queensland is excited to announce that the 2021 Under 12 Boys and Girls State Championships hosting rights have been awarded to Logan Basketball.

The tournament will run over a four day period during the Winter school holidays, from Sunday, 27 June till Wednesday, 30 June 2021.

“We hosted the U16 Boys State Championships this year and it was a really great tournament for everyone involved”, Logan Basketball General Manager Mitch Young said.

“Logan Basketball is excited to be hosting the U12 Boys and Girls State Champs in 2021, especially for our U12 teams. It’s a huge and exciting opportunity for them to play in their first representative State Championships at the same venues they play their club basketball in and get to see the best players in Queensland on their home court”.

The Mackay Meteorettes will be looking to build on their success from the 2020 U12 State Championships when they defeated Townsville Flames in Townsville to claim their first U12s title since 2009.

Over in the U12 Boys, Rockhampton Rockets are aiming to become back-to-back champions after they secured their first U12s title in more than 20 years.
